GREENSBORO, NC (October 15, 2020) – Cooper Electrical Construction Company proudly donates to the ALS Association of North Carolina to support others with ALS and fund research for a cure.
Cooper organized a team for the Walk to Defeat ALS in Raleigh in response to the loss of a great colleague and friend, Cory Burrell. Cory Burrell had a family history of ALS, so when Cory was diagnosed, he took it as an opportunity to raise awareness and support for finding a cure. His fight for a cure inspired Cooper to follow his lead. To continue his advocacy for ALS after his passing, Cooper donated $100 for every employee and family member of employees who sign up for the fundraiser walk.
“Cory’s loss was a huge hit to our company. He was a blessing to our company and to all of us who got to work with him,” noted Jennifer Carter, VP of Finance. “Though donating money cannot fully honor Cory in the way he deserves, being able to continue his legacy means a lot to our company.”
Cooper surpassed their goal of $10,000 and had 72 participants associated with Cooper sign up for the walk.
